Consider a case where fluid runs from a tank into a pipe whose entrance section is fully rounded.
Studies will be made on how to express losses caused by a change in the cross sectional area of a pipe, a pipe bend and a valve, in addition to the frictional loss of a pipe. In this chapter, however, a method of expressing the loss using an average flow velocity is stated.
